• Free Photo Box, My Memories

Spring has sprung, and with all the beauty around- I somehow caught my first spring cold in years. Glad to be getting better and share with everyone the freebie from My Memories for this week. A photobox just in time for Mother’s Day!

    Photobox Tutorial
Using MyMemories Software to Customize your Flower Card

    1. Download template file and install it into your software
    2. Using MyMemories Suite, choose Create Album From Designer Template and find your project
    3. Now you can add pictures, print and enjoy the provided template, or customize it with your own papers and embellishments.

    TIP:
You can right-click on the white guide and lock it in place to keep it from moving while you are working. Make sure this is the top layer of your project before printing.

Instead of adding the paper as a background paper, you can add it as an embellishment so that you can move the paper around.  This is especially useful when using papers with stripes or circles, so you can decide which part of the paper you want to use.

Once it is added as an embellishment, you can now select the paper and move it into the position you want it.

Don’t forget that Lifetime and My Memories is still offering the free photobook with code BK6FRE

  • National Scrapbooking Day

On Saturday May 5, it is National Scrapbooking day. As I go through all the lovely photographs my Grandma had saved through the years, it makes me want to do better at preserving memories of my kids. I have 4 kids, and my oldest just turned 16 years old. It went by to fast and I know it will be the same for my younger 3 kids. So many of my Grandma’s photos are a mystery as to who is in the photographs, no names or journal of the events.  I am truly lucky that my Aunt is helpful with some of these photographs. I love this photograph of my Great Aunt Lovella who taught me a lot about Genealogy. She is posing with her kids and mother in law on a donkey, most likely celebrating Cinco de Mayo-

And this week My Memories is hosting a Very fun Challenge to Celebrate National Scrapbooking Day and Cinco de Mayo, starting Wednesday on their Blog. You’ll have to check out the MyMemories Facebook page on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend for some fun games, super scraps and of course some SUPER FUN giveaways!!  And the AMAZING MyMemories Designers are sending out a BLOG TRAIN to give you all kinds of FUN FREEBIES!!!You will NOT want to miss a thing!  There’s going to be something fun for everyone!!

My Memories is still offering a free photobook with their code BK6Fre.

I think this is a fabulous idea for family time together and to make Mother’s Day a little more memorable! One of my favorite games I received was the Mother’s Day Tidy up Scavenger Hunt! Helping mom do the chores that she does 24/7 every other day of the year. In the game it includes cards that you cut out and your family can either race around trying to get done first or they can work together as a family to get it done (I like that idea better)! Mom gets a clean house and you can pick up a small prize for the kids just to help with the motivation.

Another one that I really am excited about is the Mother’s Day Keepsake. It downloads in adobe and you can either print it off and fill it out or it even gives an option to let the kids type out their answers on the computer. It includes questions like this…..

    • My mom looks prettiest when she wears_____________.
    • When my mom was young I think she_____________.
    • When I am sad I like when my mom _____________.

These are just a few of what is on the list. It also includes a second sheet that gives a space for your child to draw a picture of what they would buy you if they had all the money in the world. These are just two of the twenty games you receive with this product! We have had a blast reviewing these games and I am saving them to take to my mom’s house in May.

They offer tons of other printables including Birthday party games, Baby shower games, picnic games, camping games, and many more. The list goes on and on. I hope you enjoy this product as much as I have!

You can find more about them on Twitter and Facebook. And as a thank you to my readers they are offering a 25% Off Coupon Code DAWNSDELIGHTS25 good through May 9, since this is an ebook, you will receive these fun games in time for Mother’s Day.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I had the chance to receive The Birthday Chronicle to review, and selected my Grandma’s birthday October 30th, 1926, beggars night as she would refer to it.   The Birthday Chronicle is a quick, unique gift idea for everyone.  You can order from the comfort of your home and she sends it to your email via PDF within 48 hours for get this, JUST $2  You can also have in printed on a variety of background papers ($6) and even framed ($20) if you wished and mailed right to you or the receiver of the gift.  All money made from these goes to benefit needy children. I was very impressed with The Birthday Chronicle.  The font is easily readable and accurate to the date I chose. The pictures were great too.  My Grandmother’s name was used even in the stories, not just in the headlines, making it very personalized. It has everything from the weather that day, National News, World News, celebrity, music, sporting events and more all from the day she was born. Because I Tried it, offers so much more than The Birthday Chronicles. They have everything from What Your Name means, to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Poems.  Even letters from Santa, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy and more.
