Fysiko Eyelash Growth Serum Review Month 2

I started this Fysiko Eyelash Serum Review in May, and am still very pleased with the results of the Fysiko Eyelash Serum 8 weeks later. The first 4 weeks I could feel the lashes becoming thicker, and slightly longer. Then Influenster sent an email saying we could use it on eyebrows. So my 17-year-old son asked if he could use it to grow a mustache. He has been working on growing one for 2 years now. We gave it a try for one 1, just a little application. A few days later we could actually see a little more hair on his upper lip.

My eyelashes are a lot thicker now than they were when I began this 4 month review. I no longer have lashes falling out as they did before and I no longer feel the need to wear mascara when I go out. I am really loving these thicker and #LongerLashes.

    Giveaway-Beautiful Beasties: Pet Photography Book

Last week I received Beautiful Beasties: A Creative Guide to Modern Pet Photography book to review and giveaway. I was very excited to receive this book and was far from disappointed. It combined two of my favorite things, photography and pets. I have always had pets, or as I call them my fur babies. For our family they are part of the family and spoiled just as much. Taking photos of animals can be tricky at times, wrong lighting, moving around, and the fact that sometimes they just don’t want to be photographed and would rather play.

I really enjoyed the illustrations and  instructions in this book. Lots of details and suggestions on getting the perfect photo. Which helped me finally after a year get the perfect photo of our newest family member, Morticia. The first kitty that our kids actually made up a song for. She is a calico with a nearly solid black face. The photos always turned out blurry and horrible.

    Before

    After reading some tips

I have only had the book a week and feel a lot more confident about getting the perfect photo of our fur babies. It is a 335 page book with tons of links, resources, instructions and tips to help you capture those wonderful moments with your pet. The book even goes one more step in helping you with the basics if you want to take your pet photography hobby to a professional level.

This was a fun review and I am glad to be hosting this giveaway for 1 copy of the Beautiful Beasties: A Creative Guide to Modern Pet Photography.

    It finally arrived!

I was so glad to finally receive this book in the mail! I love taking photos of my fur babies, sometimes they don’t turn out the way I had hoped. Just browsing through this book this afternoon, there are so many tips and details to take better photos of my fur babies. I am looking forward to sharing more and hosting a giveaway for this book. Here is a photo taken tonight of our cat Morticia, her face is very dark and photos normally don’t turn out to well. Working with the lighting I was able to finally get a good photo of her face and sweet personality.

    Beautiful Beasties

Going through all our family photos, there is always a common factor, our pets. I call them Fur babies, those cute animals that bring so much joy and unconditional love to your life. I have always had animals in my life, owned and showed Rabbits, many cats, dogs, even had chickens, ducks, geese, while growing up. No, didn’t live on a farm, but out in the country and loved being close to nature.  Taking photos of animals can be tricky, and recently I was chosen to review the book “Beautiful Beasties, by Jaime Pflughoeft. I will be hosting a giveaway and adding a full review of this book in the coming days. I am looking forward to learning better techniques to taking photographs of my beloved fur babies.

Do you ever see family pets in your old photographs?

    Reading Kingdom Review

I am home educating my 6 and 5 year old sons who are starting Kindergarten and one preschoolers who 3 years old. Setting the foundation for strong reading skills is a top priority in my classroom. In addition to our reading curriculum, I also add supplemental resources to ensure a comprehensive reading program. My 6 year old has mild autism, and ADHD, my 5 year old picks up things much easier. A few weeks ago I was selected to review for 1 year Reading Kingdom for both sons. When selected for this review, Reading Kingdom sent special instructions for my older son. While these instructions were helpful, he really picked up on the program easier than he had other programs.

Reading Kingdom which is an online program that is designed for children ages 4-10. It was created by Dr. Marion Blank, who has drawn upon her 40 years of experience as a leading expert in literacy to develop an excellent reading program that helps children learn to read and write up to a third grade level.

I love that Reading Kingdom expands on the traditional phonics method to teach words that cannot be sounded out phonemically (the majority of words in the English language), with my 6 year old it helps his speech delays.

The program  customizes itself to the child and it adapts to their particular strengths and weaknesses. The first part of the program is an assessment/skills survey.  Right off I was pleased with the detail of the instructions that are provided. So many programs provide minimum instructions, leaving my sons frustrated and lost. Not with Reading Kingdom, they were excited to complete the levels.

The Reading Kingdom is a fun, easy-to-use online program that teaches children 4-10 years old how to read and write to a third grade level

    6 Skills

    • Most kids can use the program on their own after just a few lessons.
    • It’s fun so children think they’re playing a game and want to practice.
    • It was created by Dr. Marion Blank, Director of the Light on Learning Program at Columbia University and one of the world’s top experts in reading.
    • It works with any other curriculum a child may be using.
    • It’s the only program to offer customized online reading instruction for each child.
    • And, it’s the only system that teaches all 6 skills needed for reading & writing success!

My son reading on Reading Kingdom,

    after he completed the word.

Both of my sons enjoy this program so much that they beg for it first thing every morning.  This is great because Reading Kingdom uses a multi-faceted approach that is designed to teach an integrated reading and writing program based on word recognition, and there is support if needed. We have a year to use this program and I am loving how excited my boys are about learning to read.

Reading Kingdom is proud to be used by celebrities like Cindy Crawford with her own children. I highly recommend the Reading Kingdom online program for pre-readers, beginning readers and any child who may be struggling to read.

The Reading Kingdom is a subscription-based online reading program. To get your subscription sign up for a 30 day free trial. After you’ve created an account you can purchase a subscription. Subscriptions to Reading Kingdom are $19.99/month with no monthly minimum, or $199.99 if you purchase a 12 month subscription. If you have multiple children using the program, the cost per each additional child in your family is $9.99/month. Right now Reading Kingdom is offering a 25% discount when using code dawnsdelights
