This time last summer we went to Las Vegas, NV to see the Titanic Exhibit and met with a long lost relative. She took us to see the Siren’s of Treasure Island. Everyone had a lot of fun watching the pirates fight with the Witches. Tons of Canons exploding, water splashing, and even though the kids didn’t understand the story, they loved the action of Pirates fighting.
Tonight I created these templates for Touched by a Butterfly, this kit is the perfect finish for that wonderful vacation.

A couple weeks ago, I changed my blog to a Genesis Blog, with the modern theme. I will admit that wordpress appears more complicated than it really is. And while I am still learning the ropes of wordpress, I wanted to share how I got my header and background. It is real basic at this point and something I will continue to work on. But I created both using My Memories Software.
First you will want to go to your appearance on the left side and select Background
Once you bring it up you will see a section that will allow you to choose a file. This is when you can select any background image you want for your blog. You can tile the background or make it a solid color.
Next is your header, right below the Background button is the Header section. When you open the section it will tell you the size of the header. I had selected Sugar Moon Design Tea Party elements as my header. And just as I made my Facebook Timeline, I used the same techniques to complete the header.
The size of the header needed to be 960×225. I opened My Memories Software and selected custom design, landscape and size in pixels. Then I created the design I wanted. I saved it and then uploaded it to the header section.
Starting Monday Touched by a Butterfly will be the Featured Designer for a whole week on MM blog…. Starting Monday everything in the Touched by a Butterfly store will be 30% off for one week. I wasn’t quite happy with the way my blog was getting cluttered under the old format, so tonight I decided to redesign my blog. While there are still a lot I need to fix and add to it, I am really happy with the header and background. I knew that you could use My Memories software to create blog designs for Blogspot, and gave it a try tonight for WordPress. I am using the Modern Blogger Theme, through Studio Press, but used My Memories Software for the header and background. The header was created using designs from Sugar Moon Designs Tea Party, and background was from her kit Lemonade Stand. Both kits available at My Memories store. The software is so easy to use that it only took me 15 minutes to create this. It took longer to decide which lovely kit to use than it did to create it.
