I really have enjoyed following Crystal Paines suggestions from her book Say Goodbye to Survival Mode, but fell back into old routines this week. It’s been a long couple weeks, life has a way of stepping in and taking over. The school site for k12 was down for a couple weeks, our teacher had quit, crunch time for my oldest robotic team, my second son got extremely ill and needed to be seen to get re-hydrated and now everyone is sick. I have been up since Thursday at 5 am, and got lazy about dinners, keeping it simple. It’s time to get some real sleep and get back to saying goodbye to survival mode.
It’s times like these you learn who are your real friends. Real friends don’t tell you how you aren’t doing enough, but encourage you that you are doing good enough.
As a young girl I raised rabbits, and would show them at County Fairs. I have wonderful memories of my rabbits and those days. A couple years ago we went to a local county fair, and my 3rd son fell in love with the rabbits. After two years we decided this was really something he wanted and adopted a little Lionhead Drawf 🙂 Our son named him Thomas, and Thomas really loves being around the kids. He’s already spoiled rotten with toys and lots of love.

It’s that time of year again. The late nights, long weekends at school and hearing words that are only spoken when my oldest is prepping the robot for Competition. Every January for the past 5 years, the Robotics team at his school begins building their newest creation for the FRC in Utah. This is my son next to this years Robot.
Here is the robot being tested tonight.

I completed this tonight using the newest freebie by Benthaicreations on Digidesignresort.com Lilac Quick Page. Quick pages are very easy to create. The designer has placed all the elements and shadows on the page. You just add photos of your choice into the openings. This one is of my Great Great Grandparents, Gip and Nancy Akin. You can even buy the full size kit to create your own pages, here . I used my memories software to complete all of the pages I create.

When I went to Washington to visit family my Great Great Aunt gave me a book she had written about her life as a young girl growing up in Italy and coming to America after WWII. This is a gift I will always treasure, and a great way of sharing your life beyond name and dates with loved ones. Family Tree store has a book that gives some great idea’s on what to share in your memoir. Stories from my Grandparent is a durable spiral binding that allows the book to lay completely flat, allowing for easy writing.
I love elegant girly scrapbook kits and Pretty in Pink is all that in one. I created these facebook covers using this kit last year.
