    Who Do You Think you Are?

    Tonight is “Who do you think you are?” Finale, and Family Tree Shop has a great companion bookI wanted to share since it went on sale. Who Do You Think You Are?: Be a Family Tree Detective by Dan Waddell is on sale for 15.99. It includes tips and ideas for interviewing family, looking through treasured photos, letters, and heirlooms. It also has a wonderful section for using the internet for further research. I love the Internet, I have met so many distant relatives that had extra details on my family that I was completely unaware of.

     

    Some of  the other activities to complete in the book are: Creating a keepsake treasure book, creating a  family tree poster, Family research cards, a family crest, a time capsule and a mini-census. With Family reunions around the corner and sites like Facebook, you will have plenty to add to this book. Also Family Tree still has the 10% Code FAMILY10F that is good until December 2012.

    Here is a photo of my Grandma at what at first glace looked like a wedding. It wasn’t though, it was May Crowning that she was part of as a young woman. A tradition many Roman Catholics practiced, and I am glad my Aunt knew what this picture was.

    This show is amazing amount of information on Ancestry’s show Who Do you Think you are? If you are just beginning or have been researching for years, this is a must watch show. So many tips and suggestions, along with being very entertaining.
